Azerbaijan, Türkiye discuss expansion of SOCAR’s activity
Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR) is eyeing to expand its activity in Türkiye.
The relevant issue was dicussed during the visit of the delegation of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) headed by SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf to Türkiye, Report informs citing SOCAR.
At the meeting with Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez, Najafov exchanged views on the expansion of the company's activity in Türkiye, as well as touched upon other topics of mutual interest.
Gratification with friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries, strategic partnership at a high level was expressed at the meeting. The successful development of useful cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan in all spheres, including power engineering, was emphasised.
The delegation headed by Najaf visited the park named after Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev in Ankara and laid a wreath at his monument.
Then a meeting of the board of SOCAR Türkiye was held. During the meeting, the results of the current year were discussed, the plans for 2023 were determined.
SOCAR’s delegation also met with Chairman of the Board and CEO of Turkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortaklığı (TPAO) Melih Han Bilgin.
During the meeting, the sides spoke about effective cooperation between SOCAR and TPAO, current and potential prospects for cooperation were discussed.
