Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Georgia discuss issues of mutual interest
Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov has received the committee chairmen of the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Turkiye and Georgia.
On May 23, Mammadov met with Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Akif Cagatay Kilic and Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament Nikoloz Samkharadze, who are on a visit to Azerbaijan to participate in a tripartite meeting of the Committees on Foreign Relations of the three countries’ parliaments, according to Report.
The meeting was reportedly attended by the Chairman of the Committee on International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Relations of the Azerbaijani Parliament Samad Seyidov, as well as the ambassadors of Turkiye and Georgia to Azerbaijan.
Deputy Mammadov informed the guests about the post-conflict situation in the region, including demining, reconstruction, and construction work in the liberated territories.
He also highlighted the work carried out by Azerbaijan for peacebuilding, and the meetings at the level of leaders in Brussels and their results.
The meeting also discussed issues of cooperation between the three countries and other issues of mutual interest.
