During the meeting between the Azerbaijani and Latvian delegations, both sides highlighted the successful progress in their bilateral relations, particularly in the area of border security. It was emphasized that the exchange of visits between the heads of the border agencies of both countries in 2023 and 2024 had played a crucial role in strengthening joint efforts.

The Latvian delegation was briefed on Azerbaijan's ongoing efforts to secure its state borders, including in the territories liberated from occupation, where new border infrastructure is being built with cutting-edge technologies.
