Azerbaijan and Moldova boost cooperation in energy, trade, and diplomacy
On April 9, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov hosted Sergey Mihov, the State Secretary of Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a high-level meeting that underscored the growing partnership between the two nations.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az that during the talks, a wide range of topics were discussed, with a particular focus on enhancing cooperation in political, trade, economic, energy, and humanitarian sectors.
The two leaders explored the future trajectory of their bilateral relations and addressed key regional and international issues. Both sides emphasized the importance of deepening both bilateral and multilateral engagements.
A key highlight of the discussions was the shared commitment to advancing energy security cooperation. The ministers also underscored the crucial role of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, which facilitates discussions on expanding trade, economic, and investment ties between Azerbaijan and Moldova.
Later the same day, Azerbaijan and Moldova held political consultations, led by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov and Moldova’s State Secretary Sergey Mihov. This session further demonstrated the commitment of both countries to strengthening diplomatic and economic ties.
