Erdoğan reaffirms Türkiye’s unbreakable bond with Azerbaijan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan underscored Türkiye’s unwavering solidarity with Azerbaijan in a post on X, reiterating the close historical and strategic ties between the two nations.
“We are two states of one nation, who have sacrificed for the same independence, children with a single heart. Can a heart be separated from the soul, or Türkiye from Azerbaijan?” Caliber.Az quotes Erdoğan as saying.
Turkish National Defence Minister Yaşar Güler also reaffirmed the strength of relations between the two countries.
Speaking to journalists, Güler stated that the enduring brotherhood between Türkiye and Azerbaijan would continue to foster closer cooperation, particularly in defence and security.
Güler confirmed that both sides are engaged in joint work in the defence industry.
He also commented on his recent visit to the eastern city of Van, located on the border with Iran, clarifying that the trip was not prompted by any specific threat.
“I visited Van to review security measures, not in response to any danger,” he said.
