Azerbaijani FM advocates for peace in Middle East during talks with Israeli counterpart UPDATED
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has advocated for peace in the Middle East as he met with Israeli counterpart Gideon Sa'ar in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The sides engaged in discussions on a range of bilateral and multilateral issues, as well as the regional and international situation, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to explore potential cooperation in various sectors, including political, trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian fields.
Both ministers emphasized the significant role of the joint intergovernmental commission and stressed the importance of exchanging expertise in high technologies, healthcare, and education. Bayramov reiterated Azerbaijan's commitment to supporting peace and stability in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, in line with international law.
During the meeting, Bayramov also provided an update on the current situation in Azerbaijan, particularly in the post-conflict period following the restoration of territorial integrity. He highlighted ongoing large-scale reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories, the country's efforts to address the mine threat, and the normalization process of relations with Armenia.

Azerbaijan is celebrating significant milestones in its diplomatic relations, marking 33 years of partnership with Israel. In this regard, the embassy of Israel in Azerbaijan has congratulated the country on the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations, emphasizing the growth of their partnership over the years.
The message, posted on the official page of the Israeli embassy on social media platform X, celebrates the strong and mutually beneficial ties that have flourished since 1992.
