First Uzbek-Azerbaijani interparliamentary forum to take place in Khiva
The inaugural Uzbek-Azerbaijani interparliamentary forum, titled “In Search of New Horizons: From Dialogue to Joint Action,” is scheduled to be held in Khiva on July 1-2, according to the press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
The forum will bring together members of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis and Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, alongside representatives from the youth parliaments of both nations, Caliber.Az reports.
The main objective of the event is to strengthen interparliamentary ties by promoting experience-sharing in legislative work and parliamentary oversight, and by supporting the practical implementation of high-level agreements previously concluded between the two countries.
The forum will culminate in the adoption of a final declaration. This document will outline steps to enhance the legal framework for deepening the strategic partnership, broadening bilateral cooperation in key sectors, and advancing joint initiatives.
