Azerbaijan hails Israel-Iran truce as key step toward regional stability
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has formally welcomed the recently announced ceasefire between Israel and Iran, describing the development as a positive and important step toward reducing tensions and restoring stability in the region.
“We welcome the announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran,” the ministry said in an official statement, Caliber.Az reports.
“This development is a significant step toward de-escalation and the restoration of stability in the region.”
The ministry also acknowledged and commended the efforts of those who played a role in brokering the agreement. “We commend the efforts of all parties involved in facilitating this ceasefire and call for its full implementation to prevent further loss of life and suffering.”
Azerbaijan, which maintains diplomatic relations with both countries, reaffirmed its commitment to regional peacebuilding and multilateral dialogue. “We stand ready to support initiatives aimed at fostering lasting peace, security, and cooperation in the region,” the statement concluded.
