Azerbaijani special forces take part in counterterrorism drills in Jordan

Azerbaijani special forces are participating in the joint counterterrorism military exercise “Zulfiqar” in Jordan.

The drills also involve special operations personnel from Jordan, Türkiye and Pakistan. The exercise scenario includes the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, modern military equipment and systems, as well as live-fire exercises involving various types of weapons, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijan Defence Ministry.

Participants will carry out missions focused on urban warfare, hostage rescue operations and counterterrorism measures.

The main objectives of the exercise are to enhance the operational capabilities of participating units, improve the combat readiness of special forces, strengthen coordination and promote the exchange of experience.
