Azerbaijani, Uzbek top prosecutors pledge closer cooperation

Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan to Expand Prosecutorial Cooperation Uzbekistan plans to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in prosecution services, Uzbek Prosecutor General Nigmatilla Yuldoshev said during the signing ceremony of a bilateral cooperation programme.

Yuldoshev made it clear that the sides would continue strengthening ties between their prosecution authorities and improving the effectiveness of joint efforts, in line with the trust placed in them by the presidents of both countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

He also welcomed being awarded Azerbaijan's "100th Anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office" jubilee medal.

"The trust shown to me is a great honour and a source of pride. This award reflects the friendly relations and cooperation between our countries," Yuldoshev noted.

Azerbaijani Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev said the two countries would also expand cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.

He stressed that cooperation between the prosecution services was already at a high level, adding that the memorandum between the two sides provides for reciprocal staff training, the exchange of expertise and joint investigations.

Aliyev added that Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan also intend to broaden cooperation in the use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in law enforcement, including the application of electronic evidence.
