AnewZ presents “Frontline: Korea – One War, Two Decisions” PHOTO/VIDEO

AnewZ has released a new documentary, "Frontline: Korea – One War, Two Decisions," exploring how the Korean War divided a once-unified nation and why, more than 70 years later, the Korean Peninsula remains one of the world's most heavily militarised and geopolitically sensitive regions.

Journalist and political analyst Anastasia Lavrina, who authored and produced the film, and director Bakhruz Gadirov travelled to the Republic of Korea to examine the lasting consequences of the peninsula's division.

The documentary offers Azerbaijani audiences an in-depth look at the Korean Demilitarised Zone (DMZ), as well as the stories of war veterans and families separated by the border for decades.

The film examines why no peace treaty has ever been signed, what continues to keep the two Koreas divided, and whether reunification remains a realistic prospect.

"Frontline: Korea – One War, Two Decisions" is the latest instalment in the AnewZ Frontline documentary series, which explores global conflicts and geopolitical developments through on-the-ground reporting and the personal stories of those living through them.
