Azerbaijan completes procedures for visa-free travel agreement with China
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry announced that all necessary domestic procedures for the entry into force of the visa-free travel agreement with China have been completed.
The “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the People's Republic of China on the mutual exemption of visa requirements for holders of ordinary passports” was signed in Beijing on April 23, 2025.
With the procedural requirements now finalised, the agreement will come into effect on July 16, 2025, Caliber.Az reports per the ministry.
Under the agreement, citizens of both countries holding valid ordinary passports will be able to travel without a visa for up to 30 days per visit, with a total of no more than 90 days within any 180-day period.
