Azerbaijan unveils top 10 destinations for its tourists

The Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency has announced that 334,113 Azerbaijani citizens visited Russia by planes in January-May 2024, which is 27.8 per cent more than in the same period of last year.

According to statistics, 298,293 people (an increase of 26.5 per cent) visited Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports citing the State Tourism Agency.

Some 163,769 people visited the UAE over five months, which is 47.3 per cent more than in January-May 2023.

Around 76,841 tourists from Azerbaijan visited Georgia, 39,363 people - Saudi Arabia, 37,278 people - India, 32,412 people - Kazakhstan, 23,568 people - Italy, 22,948 people - Qatar, 19,618 people - Uzbekistan.

In general, 1,192,751 tourists from Azerbaijan visited 31 countries by planes over five months of this year, which is 38.6 per cent more than in the same period of 2023.
