Azerbaijani Army discovers large cache of Armenia-left ammunition in Karabakh PHOTO / VIDEO
The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry has announced that a large cache of ammunition and artillery shells belonging to Armenian armed forces and illegal Armenian groups was discovered during engineering reconnaissance operations in the Karabakh region.
The Azerbaijani Army's engineering units confiscated the ammunition and shells found in the Khojaly district, the ministry told Caliber.Az.
Efforts are currently ongoing to detect and disarm mines and unexploded ordnance in the recently liberated areas. Additionally, various engineering support activities are being conducted.
As part of comprehensive measures, law enforcement officers in Khojaly continue to discover weapons and ammunition.
On February 5, the engineering and fortification units of the Azerbaijani army discovered and confiscated eight 122 mm armour-piercing shells, 273 high-explosive fragmentation shells, and 285 122 mm artillery shells.
