The chefs are cooking a festive pilaw (rice with meat or poultry) in Shusha on the occasion of the Novruz holiday for Azerbaijani ecologists, volunteers, and other activists taking part in a peaceful rally on the Lachin-Khankendi section of the road.
Kabab (a type of cooked meat), gutabs with meat and herbs (pancakes) are being also cooked in a tent set up near the Lachin-Khankendi road, which passes through Shusha city. There are samani (wheatgrass, which is a symbol of fertility), khoncha (a big tray that Azerbaijanis fill with traditional sweets and dried fruits), and other traditional attributes of the holiday on the tables, according to Azertag.
Today, the real atmosphere of the most favourite holiday of the Azerbaijani people, Novruz, is felt on the territory of the rally, symbolising the long-awaited arrival of spring and the renewal of nature.
