Azerbaijani Chief of General Staff oversees tactical artillery exercises with live firing PHOTO
Colonel General Kerim Veliyev, the First Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, observed tactical exercises of artillery units featuring live firing demonstrations, according to the Ministry of Defence's information shared with Caliber.Az.
Upon arriving at the field station, Colonel General Veliyev received reports from commanders and staff officers regarding decisions made on the map during the exercises.
The exercises involved units mobilized from their permanent deployment points to concentration areas in response to an alarm signal. The troops practised assuming firing positions and preparing combat equipment and artillery installations for action.
During the practical firing exercises, the intended targets were destroyed with high accuracy, showcasing the effectiveness of the training.
Colonel General Veliyev commended the conduct of the exercises and instructed the relevant personnel to further enhance the intensity and quality of the exercises and training. His goal is to maintain a high level of combat readiness and to develop the practical skills of the servicemen.
