Azerbaijani Coordination Headquarters discuss return of population to liberated territories

The Azerbaijani Coordination Headquarters, which were established to centrally resolve issues on the liberated territories, have discussed the return of the population to their homelands.

A meeting chaired by Samir Nuriyev, head of the Presidential Administration and the Coordination Headquarters, was held on November 22 to discuss the results of the Headquarters' two-year activity and the return to the territories liberated from the occupation, Azertag reports.

The agenda of the meeting included issues related to the assessment of the HQ's activities over the past two years and the forthcoming tasks, issues related to the implementation of the "First State Program on the Great Return to the Territories Liberated from Occupation", approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 16 November 2022, as well as other issues related to the fulfillment of the Presidential instructions on the speedy return of the population to the territories freed from the occupation, including Lachin city, the Zabukh and Sus villages, and other issues.

Addressing the meeting, Nuriyev highlighted the tasks set by President Ilham Aliyev during his visits to the liberated territories, as well as his last speeches made in Lachin and Shusha cities.

The meeting also heard speeches on the current issues of the agenda, as well as reports on the implementation of the "Action Plan for the establishment of a "green energy" zone in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026", the establishment of a sustainable energy system in the area, and issues of energy and heat supply.

The meeting also featured discussions on the current state of work related to urban planning issues and the development of planning documents in the territories. Special representatives of the president provided information about the progress of projects implemented in the relevant territories.
