Azerbaijani demining agency clears more than 1,740 ha of mines, UXO

The Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) has cleared 1,740.7 hectares of land of mines and unexploded ordnance.

It discovered and neutralised 173 anti-personnel mines, 39 anti-tank mines, and 753 items of unexploded ordnance (UXO) in several districts, Caliber.Az reports, citing the ANAMA.

The demining operations were carried out between July 20 and 26 in the country's liberated territories, including Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khojavand, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, Gazakh, and Zangilan, as well as in the city of Khankendi.
