Azerbaijani FM briefs Russian senior envoy on Armenia's growing provocations PHOTO
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has said that the growing number of Armenian provocations creates difficulties for talks over the peace treaty.
Bayramov voiced the statement speaking to Ambassador-at-Large Mikhail Shvydkoy, who is also the Russian president’s special representative on international cultural cooperation, Report informs.
The Azerbaijani diplomat stressed that the steps taken towards the aggravation of the regional situation impede the peace process.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed cooperation in humanitarian and cultural spheres, as well as regional humanitarian projects.
Bayramov gave details on the peacebuilding efforts of Azerbaijan in the post-conflict period, and reconstruction work in the region.
For his part, Shvydkoy noted the importance of international forums held in Azerbaijan and expressed readiness to implement joint programmes in cultural and humanitarian spheres.
