Azerbaijani gymnast books final ticket in European Championship

Two Azerbaijani gymnasts performed individual programs on May 18 at the European Championships in Baku.

Report informs that at the qualifying stage, Zohra Agamirova and Ilona Zeynalova presented programs with a hoop and a ball.

Agamirova scored 32.150 points in the movements with the hoop and 32.550 points with the ball, reaching the final based on her performances with both apparatuses. The gymnast took 6th and 5th places in the classification, respectively.

In movements with a hoop, Zeynalova took 59th place, gaining 23,900 points. In movements with the ball, the gymnast scored 27.300 points and eventually took 35th place.

It should be noted that on the first day of the competition, the team of Azerbaijan consisting of Govhar Ibragimova, Sakinakhanum Ismailzade, Madina Aslanova, Ilaha Bahadirova, Ayan Sadigova, and Zahra Jafarova won two medals.

The European Championship will wrap up on May 21st.
