Azerbaijani-Kazakh trade turnover sharply increases
In January-May of the current year trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan made $161.4 million, which is 3.4 times more than in the same period last year. Thus, this indicator amounted to $48.1 million in the first five months of last year.
APA reports quoting QazTrade data that the increase was caused by the growth of exports ($125.5 million vs. $37.1 million), as well as imports ($35.8 million vs. $11 million).
Wheat, oil and oil products, electric railway locomotives, rails, etc. provided the growth in exports to Azerbaijan.
Growth in imports from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan increased due to special purpose floating equipment, ethylene polymers, water, including mineral, carbonated, and sugar, nuts, pipes, ferrous metal profiles, cruise and excursion vessels, ferries, and other vehicles designed to transport passengers, etc.
