Azerbaijani minister: Uzbekistan to open textile factory in Khankendi
Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has said that an Uzbek textile company is set to open a new facility in Khankendi.
Jabbarov made these remarks at the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Business Forum in Tashkent, Caliber.Az reports.
"A textile production facility is expected to be commissioned in Khankendi soon, with the project being implemented by an Uzbek company," he stated.
Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan enjoy strong bilateral relations, rooted in shared cultural, historical, and linguistic ties, as both countries are part of the Turkic world. Economic relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have grown significantly over the years. Trade between the two countries includes a variety of goods, such as energy products, textiles, agricultural products, and machinery. Azerbaijan is keen on strengthening ties with Uzbekistan in areas such as energy, transportation, and logistics, especially given the strategic location of both countries along key trade routes.
