Azerbaijan's oil production slips below April levels, IEA reports

Azerbaijan’s oil production averaged 440,000 barrels per day in May 2026, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA).

The agency’s monthly report showed that output declined by 10,000 barrels per day, or 2.2%, compared to April.

IEA estimates indicated that Azerbaijan’s production remained 110,000 barrels per day below its OPEC+ quota in May.

Under the OPEC+ agreement, Azerbaijan’s oil production quota for 2026 is set at 551,000 barrels per day.
