Azerbaijan highlights green transition, regional integration at IsDB
Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has outlined the country’s priorities on green transition, economic diversification, and regional integration during a session held within the framework of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Annual Meetings.
The session, titled “Azerbaijan as Host and Connector – Green Transition, Regional Integration, and Strategic Partnership,” was held in cooperation with Walid Abdelwahab, Director of the IsDB Group Regional Hub Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports.

Discussions focused on Azerbaijan’s development strategy, including efforts to diversify the economy, accelerate the transition to a green economy, and expand renewable energy capacity. Participants also emphasised balanced regional development and strengthening the role of the private sector.
The minister underlined the importance of attracting private investment, deepening regional connectivity, and supporting projects aimed at sustainable growth and improved living standards. He also highlighted the need to create a favourable environment for long-term business development and international economic cooperation.
"Our objective is to further strengthen international partnerships in support of projects that advance national development, attract private investment, deepen regional integration, and enhance the well-being of our citizens," he wrote on X.
