Azerbaijan, Iran discuss expanding trade, investment, transport cooperation
Senior officials from Azerbaijan and Iran have discussed ways to deepen economic cooperation, with a focus on trade, investment and transportation, during a meeting held on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group.
Azerbaijan's Economy Minister, Mikayil Jabbarov, met with Mehdi Heydari, Iran's Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and head of the Organisation for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
According to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy, the talks focused on the current state of economic relations between the two neighbouring countries and opportunities for further cooperation. The officials exchanged views on expanding collaboration in trade, investment and transport, while also discussing measures to strengthen business-to-business ties.
