Azerbaijan’s economy minister praises IDB role in country’s development
Cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB) has played an important role in Azerbaijan’s development, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has stated.
Speaking at a dialogue session during the 51st Annual Meeting of the IDB in Baku, he said the presence of IDB Group President Muhammad Al Jasser at the event is highly significant, adding that Azerbaijan is proud to host the bank’s annual meetings, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Jabbarov noted that the long-standing relationship between Azerbaijan and the IDB forms the basis of their shared vision for future cooperation, stressing that the bank has supported the country since its early years of membership and contributed to its development and modernisation.
According to him, both sides are committed to further expanding cooperation in the coming period.
The minister said the results achieved so far are valued and expressed confidence that future joint projects with the IDB will increase, particularly in areas linked to private sector development, which he described as a key priority for both the bank and its member states.
