Azerbaijani MOD mourns death of Russian servicemen

The tragic death of Russian peacekeepers as a result of firing on a "UAZ Patriot" vehicle near the village of Janyatagh belonging to the peacekeeping contingent was recorded.

According to Caliber.Az, referring to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, the investigative bodies of Azerbaijan and Russia are working together on the site to investigate all the causes of this incident.

"We express our sympathies for the incident and send our deepest condolences to the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, the families and relatives of the fallen servicemen", the Azerbaijani defence body's message reads.
