Azerbaijani MP to Paris mayor: Take care of your own citizens
A member of the Azerbaijani parliament has responded to provocative statements by the mayor of Paris, who accompanied the so-called French "humanitarian cargo" sent to Karabakh.
Tural Ganjaliyev said Mayor Ann Hidalgo should take care of the residents of France instead of resorting to provocations.
"As there is no an entity in Azerbaijan that Hidalgo refers to [as "Artsakh], France can take back the ‘humanitarian cargo’ to its lands somewhere in Marseille where potential inhabitants of M/Artsakh reside. We take care of all our citizens. P.S. Stop wasting Paris’ taxpayers money," Ganjaliyev wrote on X on August 30, Caliber.Az informs.
The so-called "humanitarian aid" in ten lorries was sent by the Paris municipality and a number of humanitarian organisations on August 30 morning. It set off from Armenia's capital Yerevan to the Kornidzor region on the border with Azerbaijan, joining other convoys at the Lachin border checkpoint previously sent by Armenia and France in late July and early August.
However, the State Border Service employees of Azerbaijan blocked the convoy from entering the sovereign territories of the country. Baku once again stated that there is no humanitarian crisis within its borders and there was no appeal to a foreign state to send a kind of aid.
