Azerbaijani police discover cache of weapons, ammunition in Khankendi
Azerbaijani police officers have once again uncovered a significant cache of weapons and ammunition in the city of Khankendi, as part of ongoing comprehensive measures.
The operation resulted in the seizure of a substantial number of firearms, the Interior Ministry's press service told Caliber.Az.
Specifically, the police found 40 automatic rifles, three machine guns, eight pistols, 62 hand grenades, 15 rifles, a shell, two fuses, 30 fuses for hand grenades, 10,151 cartridges of various calibres, and 32 bayonet knives, among other items.
In addition, similar searches in the districts of Aghdara, Gubadli, Tartar, Aghdam, Jabrayil, Kalbajar, and Khojaly yielded further discoveries. In these areas, police seized a pistol, 16 grenades, a grenade launcher, seven shells, a mine, and 779 cartridges.
