Azerbaijani power company restoring electricity in Lachin villages VIDEO

Azarishig power company is carrying out activities for upgrading power networks in Jagazur, Gorchu, and Garagol villages of Lachin District.

As Caliber.Az reports with reference to Azarishig, in addition, the construction of underground power lines is continuing in the city of Lachin. At the same time, work on the construction of 35 kV overhead power lines in the direction of the villages of Shelva, Garagol, Jagazur, and Minkand is nearing completion.

As of today 336, families comprising 1,299 people have returned to Lachin district for permanent residence. Another 75 families are planned to return to Lachin in November.

The Azerbaijani army took full control of Lachin City along with the adjacent Zabukh and Sus villages in August 2022.

Earlier, Lachin city was temporarily controlled by the Russian peacekeepers to provide communication between Armenia and the Karabakh region. Under the November 10, 2020, trilateral statement, signed by the Azerbaijani, Armenian, and Russian leaders, the city should be handed over to Azerbaijan after the completion of a new road, which would be an alternative to the Lachin road.
