Azerbaijani president says transit country must have good relations with neighbours

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has said that "to be a transit country, one must have good relations with its neighbours".

The president made the remarks in a joint press statement following a meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in Tbilisi on October 24, Report informs.

"There is a great need in the world for transport routes along the Caspian Sea, passing through Azerbaijan, Georgia and neighbouring countries," the president added.
