Azerbaijani, Russian FMs discuss regional situation

On September 27, 2023, a telephone conversation was held between the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

The diplomats discussed the current cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Russia, the normalisation process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the current situation in the region, reports the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

Minister Bayramov emphasized the commitment of Azerbaijan to the dialogue on the reintegration of the Armenian residents living in the country's Garabagh, adding Baku will continue comprehensive measures to meet the needs of the Armenian residents.

Bayramov noted that the release of the so-called regime in the territories of Azerbaijan and the disarmament of the Armenian armed forces, as well as their removal from the territories of Azerbaijan, are being carried out, besides this, Azerbaijan is interested in the progress of the peace process with Armenia.
