Azerbaijani servicemen detain, send Russian peacekeepers back

Russian peacekeepers, moving through Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district along the Askeran-Agdere route, trying to illegally smuggle at least five Kalashnikov assault rifles, have been detained by Azerbaijani servicemen.

One BTR-82A armoured personnel carrier and three Ural vehicles were stopped and sent back, according to Trend.

Ammunition has been recently found in the cargo compartment of one of the vehicles at the checkpoint of the Azerbaijani army at 17:15 (GMT+4).
