Azerbaijani Speaker meets German Bundestag President PHOTO

Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Speaker (Parliament) Sahiba Gafarova met with German Bundestag President Bärbel Bas.

The Bundestag president expressed her confidence that Sahiba Gafarova’s official visit to Germany will have a positive impact on the further expansion of bilateral ties, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press and public relations department of the Milli Majlis.

Gafarova, in turn, noted that Azerbaijan is interested in developing ties and mutually beneficial cooperation with Germany.

The Milli Majlis speaker informed Bas about the favorable investment climate in Azerbaijan, the large-scale reconstruction carried out in the territories liberated from occupation, and the ongoing projects on renewable energy sources. She also noted that Germany is one of the main trading partners of Azerbaijan.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
