Azerbaijani, Turkish, and Georgian defence ministers’ Baku meeting wraps up PHOTO
A trilateral meeting took place today in Baku between the defence ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey.
As the Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az, the meeting underscored that the peoples of these countries have been living in an atmosphere of good neighborliness and friendship for centuries, and under the leadership of the heads of state and government, relations between the countries are developing in an upward direction. It was emphasized that cooperation based on mutual trust is of great importance from the point of view of the well-being of the peoples.
At the trilateral meeting, the importance of joining forces in the fight against factors that may pose a threat to the security of the region was noted. The ministers particularly emphasized the need to expand the coverage of trilateral exercises and training. Confidence was expressed that the development of trilateral cooperation in the field of defense will contribute to strengthening peace, stability, and security throughout the region. At the meeting, a detailed exchange of views took place on the prospects for the development of cooperation in the military, military-educational spheres, and the field of military medicine.
At the end, a press conference was held and a protocol was signed.
