Kazakh delegation witnesses NATO standards in action in Azerbaijan Army Photo
A Kazakh military delegation has witnessed the implementation of NATO standards within the Azerbaijan Army during an official visit to Baku, highlighting growing defence cooperation between the two countries.
As part of the 2025 bilateral military cooperation plan between the Azerbaijani and Kazakh defence ministries, defence officials from both nations convened in Baku for a series of strategic meetings aimed at strengthening military ties and deepening collaboration, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The discussions were hosted by the International Military Cooperation Department of the Azerbaijani defence ministry, where the Kazakh delegation was briefed on key developments within the Azerbaijan Army. Topics included the Operational Capabilities Concept (OCC) programme, recent advancements in military education, and the adoption of modern planning, programming, and budgeting systems within defence operations.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured the OCC battalion, witnessing firsthand the application of NATO standards within Azerbaijani military units. The guests were also introduced to the battalion’s structure, weaponry, and military vehicles. The visit concluded with a comprehensive exchange of views and a Q&A session, where both sides discussed shared interests and explored opportunities for enhanced military cooperation moving forward.
