Talks set stage for Azerbaijani delegation’s participation in Türkiye’s military exercises photo
High-level defence talks in Ankara between Turkish Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, have paved the way for Azerbaijan’s participation in upcoming multinational military exercises in Türkiye.
Guler met with Valiyev during an official visit to Ankara, ahead of the Azerbaijani delegation’s participation in the “Defender of Peace – 2025” international exercises in Istanbul, Caliber.Az reports, citing the message of the Turkish Ministry of National Defense on X.
Millî Savunma Bakanı Yaşar Güler, Genelkurmay Başkanı Orgeneral Metin Gürak’ın davetlisi olarak Ankara’ya gelen kardeş Azerbaycan’ın Genelkurmay Başkanı General Polkovnik Kerim Veliyev’i kabul etti. Chief of the Turkish General Staff Metin Gurak also attended the talks.
The Azerbaijani military delegation, led Valiyev, arrived at the invitation of Gurak. The Azerbaijani representatives will also attend the Distinguished Visitors Day of the Anatolian Eagle 2025 international air exercises in Konya city.
