Turkish military delegation strengthens ties with Azerbaijan’s Land Forces PHOTO
A delegation from Türkiye’s National Defence University has paid an official visit to Azerbaijan’s Land Forces Command, continuing a broader visit aimed at deepening military-educational cooperation between the two countries.
According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence, the Turkish delegation is led by the Vice-Rector of the National Defence University, Professor Serdar Salman, Caliber.Az reports.
The group includes leadership representatives from the Military Institute of the Land Forces and students enrolled in the university’s “Staff Management” course.
During the visit, Deputy Commander of Azerbaijan’s Land Forces, Major General Ilgar Latifov, received the delegation for a meeting. Both sides underscored the pivotal role of military education in enhancing the professional development of armed forces personnel. They also highlighted the value of joint exercises in fostering experience-sharing between the Azerbaijani and Turkish armed forces.
In addition to the meeting, the Turkish delegation toured the Land Forces Combat Control Centre, where they were briefed on its operations. The guests received detailed information on the history, key areas of activity, evolution, and accomplishments of Azerbaijan’s Land Forces.
