Azerbaijani, Turkish FMs mull regional security, peace process with Armenia
On July 25, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a phone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
According to local media report, during their discussion, the ministers exchanged views on various matters stemming from the strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, their collaboration within regional and international organisations, the ongoing Azerbaijan-Armenia normalisation process, and broader regional and global security concerns.
Both sides praised the robust development of the fraternal and allied ties between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, which continue to strengthen across all sectors and international platforms.
Minister Bayramov provided an update to his Turkish counterpart on the state of the normalisation talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia, elaborating on key aspects of the process, recent developments, the outlook for a potential peace agreement, and the challenges that remain. He also outlined the steps being taken to overcome these difficulties.
The conversation further touched upon other shared interests and issues of mutual importance.
