UAE speaker emphasises strategic importance of strengthening ties with Azerbaijan

The United Arab Emirates places great importance on deepening its relations with Azerbaijan, particularly in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, the Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council, Saqr Ghobash, said on October 30.

According to Caliber.Az, Gobash made the remarks during a meeting with Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (Parliament), emphasising the strategic significance of bilateral cooperation.

Gafarova highlighted the importance of meetings and negotiations held during her visit to the UAE in May, including a memorandum of understanding signed between the two parliaments on cooperation.

She also pointed to the role of active political dialogue, mutual visits, and collaborative projects, particularly in the field of renewable energy, in strengthening bilateral ties.
