Baku, Tashkent vow to enhance cooperation in trade, energy, and connectivity
Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during the latter’s working visit to Uzbekistan.
Saidov shared details of the meeting on his Telegram channel, describing it as “sincere and constructive.”
“Held a sincere and constructive meeting with H.E. Jeyhun Bayramov, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan. Our talks confirmed the close bonds of friendship, mutual respect and trust between our two peoples, united by common history, language and values. We exchanged views on the further expansion of cooperation in trade, transportation, energy, education, and cultural exchange, and agreed to continue strengthening our strategic partnership and allied relations for the benefit of our brotherly peoples,” Saidov wrote.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry also issued a statement on the meeting, noting that “Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, within his working visit to brotherly Uzbekistan, held a comprehensive and productive meeting with Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov.”

According to the statement, the two ministers reaffirmed their determination to deepen the strategic partnership based on shared history, culture, and mutual trust, while emphasising their commitment to broadening cooperation in trade, energy, transport, education, and connectivity. The ministry added that such collaboration would contribute to peace and sustainable development across the regions.
It should be recalled that on October 29, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov arrived in Samarkand on a working visit.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Caliber.Az that Bayramov’s agenda for October 30–31 includes participation and a speech at the 43rd session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), as well as several high-level bilateral meetings.
