Liberated lands reopen doors: Families resettle in Azerbaijan’s Hadrut, Khidirli, Seyidbayli PHOTO / UPDATED

A new group of former internally displaced families has been resettled in the village of Seyidbayli, Khojaly district.

A total of 11 families, comprising 48 individuals, have been relocated to the village at this stage of the resettlement program, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The families have been handed the keys to their newly allocated apartments, marking a significant step in their return to stable living conditions.

These families had previously been temporarily accommodated across various regions of the country, primarily in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.

Former IDP families relocating to the village of Khidirli in Aghdam district have received the keys to their newly restored homes.

A total of 64 families, comprising 278 individuals, have so far been resettled in Khidirli. These families, formerly displaced, had previously lived temporarily across various parts of the republic, often in dormitories, sanatoriums, or administrative buildings, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

Under the State Program for the Great Return, which facilitates the resettlement of populations in territories liberated from occupation, another group of families has returned to their ancestral homes in the settlement of Hadrut in Khojavand district. Today, Hadrut welcomed 13 families totaling 51 people.

Local authorities have ensured that the settlements are fully prepared for the returnees. Roads have been rehabilitated, houses reconstructed, and essential utility infrastructure restored to provide safe and comfortable living conditions.

New groups of former internally displaced persons (IDPs) have begun permanent relocation to the Aghdam, Khojaly, and Khojavand districts, marking a significant step in the ongoing resettlement efforts.

The families being relocated were previously accommodated on a temporary basis across various regions of the republic, primarily in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative facilities, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

At this stage, permanent resettlement has been organized for 64 families, totaling 278 individuals, in the village of Khidirli in Aghdam district; 13 families, comprising 51 people, in the settlement of Hadrut in Khojavand district; and 11 families, or 48 individuals, in the village of Seyidbayli in Khojaly district.
