Baku ceremony seals human rights collaboration between Azerbaijan and Serbia PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Serbia have formalised a new step in their cooperation on human rights protection by signing a memorandum of understanding between their respective ombudsman institutions.
The agreement was signed on June 18 in Baku during the International Ombudsman Symposium.
Azerbaijan’s Human Rights Commissioner, Sabina Aliyeva and Serbia’s Ombudsman Zoran Pašalić took part in the official signing ceremony, Caliber.Az reports.
The memorandum is aimed at deepening collaboration and facilitating the exchange of experience in upholding human rights and fundamental freedoms.
Addressing the event, Sabina Aliyeva voiced her confidence that the document would not only reinforce institutional ties between the two nations but also contribute to enhancing the overall effectiveness of human rights advocacy efforts.
