Baku refutes Armenian side's reports aimed to discredit Azerbaijan Armed Forces
The information disseminated on some Armenian social media accounts about the alleged shelling of an ambulance by the Azerbaijan Armed Forces is absolutely false.
The statement came from the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan on September 20.
“We categorically refute this information, which is being disseminated with the aim of creating a wrong opinion in the international community,” the ministry is quoted as saying by Caliber.Az.
In a separate statement on the same day, the ministry also denied reports about the Azerbaijani army's alleged targeting of the civilian settlements in the Garabagh region.
The ministry noted that the armed forces of Azerbaijan have been neutralising only legitimate military targets using high-precision weapons.
In the meantime, the ministry commented also on the next wave of reports of the Armenian side to discredit the Azerbaijani army.
According to the ministry, the reports about the alleged shelling of the positions of the Russian peacekeepers by the Azerbaijani military are false and complete disinformation.
Also, the news about the alleged deployment of the strike drones by the Azerbaijan Armed Forces is the next episode of the smearing campaign against the national army, the ministry said.
