Belarus, Oman advance strategic projects in Muscat talks Video
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Oman’s Sultan Qaboos bin Said held talks in Muscat on December 1, advancing a broad agenda that included major investment projects, regional developments, and new avenues for economic cooperation.
The leaders reviewed progress on key bilateral initiatives and highlighted the strong mutual understanding that has characterised relations in recent years. They noted that a series of high-level exchanges has accelerated cooperation across multiple sectors, Calber.Az reports via Belarusian media.
A central focus of the discussions was the implementation of the Belarus–Oman cooperation roadmap signed in Minsk in October 2025. The two sides examined concrete projects in food security, industrial development, and agriculture, with particular attention to the expansion of Belarusian food exports and the establishment of joint production facilities in Belarus.
The leaders also assessed opportunities to jointly expand export supplies to markets in Asia and Africa.
One of the flagship initiatives under review was the large-scale joint investment project to build a pulp and paper mill in Belarus, which stems from a memorandum signed during the Sultan’s visit to Minsk earlier this year.
Tourism cooperation additionally featured on the agenda, with both sides exploring ways to enhance exchanges and develop the sector further.
