Christian Democratic Party’s vice-chairman slams venality of Armenian men
Vice-chairman of the Armenian Christian Democratic Party Hayk Sukiasyan has said that Armenia needs foreign intelligence if it decides to become a state.
Sukiasyan has commented on the appointment of former ombudsperson Kristine Grigoryan to the post of director of the Armenian Foreign Intelligence Service, Caliber.Az reports.
“In this sense, it is good that there is already a leader. I appreciate the fact that this is a woman because now we see that Armenian men are being nobbled. Of course, we are not talking about everyone, but we see what an Armenian man or a man with an Armenian name does. I think our women are much more patriotic, in any case, I have noticed this in our women,” he told one of the Armenian channels.
“We have to modernise this institution just in case the Russians don't come and sneak in, like let's teach you what foreign intelligence should be, they won't set a foot here. Let it be a purely Armenian institution. As a country having such neighbouring countries in the region, we vitally need such an institution,” Sukiasyan noted.
“As for the Armenian National Security Service, I would like to say that previously this institution was at a low level in terms of ensuring Armenia’s national security and served only the policy of destroying the country’s security,” he added.
