COP29 to help adapt Azerbaijan's agricultural policy to international experience - minister
Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov has said that the upcoming COP29 conference in Azerbaijan will assist in adapting the country's agricultural policy to international experience.
"COP29 will not only play an important role in adapting agricultural and environmental policies in Azerbaijan to international best practices and technological exchange but also have an impact on providing financial support for broader economic development," the minister said at the 3rd Agribusiness Development Forum in Guba on March 29, according to Report.
Mammadov added that the use of appropriate innovative approaches and tools, along with environmental protection, will contribute to the sustainability of agriculture, providing the population with environmentally friendly food, as well as increasing prosperity in rural areas.
The minister emphasized that environmental protection is a priority in the large-scale restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories. In these territories, innovative approaches, such as smart cities and smart villages, are being introduced, and the ecosystem is being restored.
