Defence ministry: Armenia to boost combat readiness of troops
A meeting of the board led by Defence Minister Suren Papikyan was held on December 27, according to the Armenian Defence Ministry.
The agenda of the meeting was “Combat readiness, training, moral and psychological support for the Armenian Armed Forces in the 2023 academic year and priority issues for the 2024 academic year”, Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media.
First Deputy Defence Minister, Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan made a report during the meeting.
“The problems, main activity and achievements were discussed. During the meeting, Papikyan assured that several projects and programmes are already being implemented, and in the near future steps will be taken that will greatly contribute to the process of increasing the combat readiness of troops, the combat effectiveness of the Armed Forces, improving the social and living conditions of military personnel, etc. Several servicemen were awarded with medals, certificates of honour and valuable gifts at the end of the meeting,” the statement said.
