Deminers find explosive devices even in hospitals in Karabakh ANAMA statement
During mine clearance operations in the liberated territories, sappers of the Azerbaijani Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) found improvised explosive devices even in the central hospitals of populated areas.
The operational head of mine clearance group No. 5 of ANAMA, Khaliq Zulfugarov, said in an interview with Report.
Sappers found improvised explosive devices in residential buildings and private courtyards, in outbuildings, in central district hospitals, in the basements of buildings, and even under bridges near residential areas in Khojavand and Khojaly districts, as well as in the city of Khankendi, he said.
Zulfugarov said that sappers are carefully checking courtyards, roads, basements, roofs, and other places where mines may be hidden.
“During operations in the village of Dagdagan, we discovered a basement where homemade explosive devices were made. Among them were small bombs that were made specifically to be dropped from drones,” he said.
