Diplomatic delegation arrives in Shusha to explore key Azerbaijani city

Representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps, including ambassadors and advisers accredited in Azerbaijan, have arrived in Shusha. 

In Shusha, they will have the opportunity to explore significant landmarks such as the Ashaghi Govhar Agha Mosque, Karabakh Street, and the first residential complex built in the city, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The visit, which is aimed at familiarising the diplomats with the city of Shusha, will involve a series of tours and cultural explorations.

The diplomats also visited several key sites in Khankendi, including Karabakh University and the centre of Khankendi. 

Earlier, a group of travellers from Georgia took a tour of Azerbaijan's liberated Khankendi city.

The guests observed the ongoing restoration efforts in the city. They visited the stadium, the Karabakh University, and various historical and cultural monuments.

As a result of Azerbaijan’s anti-terror operation, which lasted less than 24 hours, the illegal Armenian military presence on Azerbaijani territory was fully disarmed and left the country. The unlawful junta regime in Karabakh was dismantled. 

The main leaders of the separatists were arrested due to the efforts of Azerbaijani special services and law enforcement agencies. As a result of the anti-terror operations, Azerbaijan's state sovereignty and constitutional order were fully restored across the country. 

On October 15, 2023, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the city of Khankendi, as well as the Khojavend, Shusha, Khojaly, and Aghdara districts. During his visit, he raised the Azerbaijani flag at the Asgaran Fortress. On November 8 of the same year, a military parade was held in Khankendi to mark the third anniversary of the Victory in the second Karabakh war.
